The best-known sights in Jerez are within a short walk of each other, in the town center. The tourist office is as good a place as any to start. You can visit: The fortifications and gardens of the Alcazar of Jerez. Jerez Cathedral, built in 1695. The luxurious Viceroy Laserna Palace is also open to the public. Jerez is famous for its wines. At the south side of the Alcazar, you can find Tio Pepe and Gonzales Byass bodegas. There are numerous other sights in and around town – see a Jerez specific guide for more details.
