Saint-Paul de Vence is a very pretty, though also very touristic medieval village – indeed, among the most-visited villages in France. Saint-Paul Tourist Office (just off Place Neuve, by the main entrance to the village) runs 9 themed walking tours, 60-90 mins in length. The White Penitents Chapel, at the centre of the village by Place d’Eglise, was decorated by Belgian artist Folon, who died in 2005. Just outside of Saint-Paul, but still within walking distance, is Foundation Maeght, a well regarded modern art museum. Note: GPS waypoint for Saint-Paul de Vence will take you to a street with parking, around 500m walk from the medieval village.
