Yosemite National Park

Preserving a large, stunningly beautiful segment of the Sierra Nevada is Yosemite National park, California’s premier offering and one of the finest National Parks in the world. There are limitless hiking opportunities in this UNESCO World Heritage Site, including short walks in the Yosemite valley and more rewarding hikes up Half Dome and El Capitan. The park is enormous, and an extra night or two in the park can very easily be busily occupied. Looking for the easiest summit views in Yosemite? — take the drive up Glacier Point Road (closed Nov-May) and walk the one mile path to the summit of Sentinel Dome. If you want to save yourself the trouble of hiking up a summit, then for the best, most accessible view in Yosemite, continue along Glacier Point road to Glacier Point itself, where a very well developed 300m (1000ft) wheelchair trail leads to the most breathtaking views in the park.
