Do an exciting loop around the South Island, starting and finishing in Queenstown (or, do it from Christchurch instead). As well as Queenstown itself, you’ll enjoy the dramatic contrast between the east and west sides of New Zealand’s stunning Southern Alps. From the glaciers of the west coast, to the stunning day hikes in the valleys beneath Mt Cook, you’ll enjoy some of New Zealand’s most breathtaking scenery. This is a fairly fast paced trip, so consider adding extra nights if you prefer. If you want to cut driving time, you can take out the drive to Punakaiki, and stay in Hokitika instead.
