Distance & Duration
The drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles is, for the most part, a fairly uneventful one across the Mojave Desert on the freeway. There aren't particularly a lot of sights on the route, so few in fact that even a giant thermometer gets a mention. Some major factory outlets in Barstow are the other main alternative to that for breaking up the drive. An alternative to this route if you have time and inclination is to go via the Mojave National Preserve and/or Joshua Tree National Park, ending up in the golf resort of Palm Springs instead of Los Angeles.
